Counselling is a space just for you.

Perhaps you’ve been carrying something for a long time. Perhaps something has happened recently that’s left you feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of who you are anymore. Whatever has brought you here, I want you to know that you don’t have to make sense of it alone.

I’m Caroline Weiss, a humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist with over ten years of experience working with adults navigating some of life’s most difficult terrain. I work with warmth, honesty and deep respect for your individual experience — because I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is simply to walk alongside you.

How I Can Help

Many of the people I work with come to me feeling stuck — not quite able to name what’s wrong, only that something is. Others arrive with a very clear sense of what they’re carrying.

I have particular experience working with:

Narcissistic abuse and coercive control ✦ Complex PTSD and trauma ✦ Anxiety and chronic stress ✦ Low self-worth and self-criticism ✦ Relationship difficulties ✦ Life transitions and loss of identity

Whatever you’re experiencing, we work at your pace, in your way.

What to Expect

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’ve never done it before. Here’s what working with me looks like.

We begin with an initial session where we simply talk, about what’s brought you to counselling, what you’re hoping for, and whether we feel like a good fit. There’s no obligation to continue and no pressure to share more than you’re ready to.

Sessions are fifty minutes, held online via Zoom or in person at my practice. I work open-endedly, meaning there’s no fixed number of sessions, we continue for as long as it feels useful to you.

Everything you share is held in the strictest confidence.

When You’re Ready

There’s no perfect moment to begin. Most people who contact me say the same thing afterwards, that they wish they’d done it sooner.

If something here has resonated with you, I’d gently encourage you to reach out. You can send me a message using the contact form and I’ll respond within 48 hours. We can arrange a free fifteen-minute introductory call if you’d like to talk before committing to anything.

I look forward to hearing from you when the time feels right.
